Event #1.   Symposium:  William Douglass, Basque Studies and the Anthropology of Europe

12:00 – 2 pm.  Hadley Room Campus Center.  UMass.

Invited scholars will discuss the career and broader set of themes addressed in Douglass’ research. The formal presentations will be followed by questions and discussion period, as well as commentary by William Douglass.

 

Event #2  Inaugural Lecture by William A. Douglass-  5 pm.  Hadley Room, Campus Center, UMass.  

William Douglass will deliver a public lecture. Representatives from the Etxepare Institute and the Basque Ministry of Culture will come from Spain to celebrate this new international academic partnership.

 

Event #3.   Reception for guests hosted by International Programs and the Provost.
